Product Description:
Find the unique combination of highest standards of quality of Merino Decorative Laminate surface and benefit of homogeneous solid colour in Merino UNI+ Unicolour Laminate. The same colour of the decorative surface and the core layers give the laminate a uniform look.

A very special acrylic resin formulation is applied over decorative surface paper to achieve highest degree of chemical resistance together with a maximum scratch resistance. The decorative paper is impregnated with several acrylic coating to make the surface free from any porosity and then hardened by electron beam curing. The impregnated decor paper then is assembled with several layers of phenolic resin treated Kraft paper and pressed under 90Kg/sq cm specific pressure and at about 150°C temperature for about 30 to 40 min.

FABRICATION
  • Cutting:
The same tool that is used to cut Merino Standard HPL can be used for Merino UNI + Unicolour Laminate. As the core is slightly more brittle, care must be taken on reverse side to avoid chipping. When cutting it by hand using fine-toothed saw, it should be supported on both sides. After cutting, edges should be smoothened to reduce post fabrication risk of chipping.
    Gluing and Pressing:
Merino UNI+ Unicolour Laminate can be both hot and cold pressed. Bonding guides as followed by Merino HPL should be followed for Merino UNI+ Unicolour Laminate also. Similarly all the substrates suitable for Merino HPL are also suitable for Merino UNI+ Unicolour Laminate.
    Adhesives:
Contact adhesives are recommended. The glue line should be maintained as thin as possible, which is required for proper bonding.
    Fabrication:
All traditional tools and machines, which are used for Merino HPL, can be used for the fabrication of Merino UNI+ Unicolour Laminate.
